As a Development Manager, you will play a critical role in executing existing projects and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including lenders, capital partners, and jurisdictional agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the in-house Construction Manager to manage day-to-day construction activities and ensure projects remain on budget.
  • Develop financial models and analyze new development investment opportunities to present to the Investment Committee.
  • Coordinate project invoices and loan draws with the accounting team to ensure timely payments.
  • Facilitate and coordinate project consultants, trades, and construction managers throughout the project life cycle.
  • Prepare monthly development project reports for capital partners and senior executives.
  • Perform market studies and analyses to document trends and support new business development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Partners on marketing and branding initiatives to create and execute marketing leasing programs.
  • Meet with community and business groups to obtain support for development projects.
  • Support the regional team in negotiating and closing acquisitions, financing, and dispositions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a real estate or development-related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of commercial real estate development or construction experience.
  • Proficiency in real estate accounting software, preferably with MRI and/or Yardi.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and changing priorities.
  • Self-management and independence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Travel may be required.
