Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Spot Welder/Drill and Tap to join our team at Atonne Group, Inc. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for executing spot welding operations to fabricate assemblies, using jigs and fixtures. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in meeting our production goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and plan daily/weekly work schedule with supervisor, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and spot welding operations.
  • Lay out, position, align, and fit components together, using jigs and fixtures to secure parts in position for spot welding.
  • Set up equipment and spot weld parts, using resistance welding equipment, and regulate spot weld equipment as needed.
  • Check, test, and/or sort parts before and/or after spot welding, reporting any irregularities to the supervisor.
  • Drill and deburr holes to correct size and tap, inspecting holes per requirements.
  • Accurately record production data, including quality, labor reporting, manufacturing time, scrap, and downtime information.
  • Participate in problem-solving and contribute to the improvement of manufacturing processes.
Requirements
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills, normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience in welding.
  • One year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, machinery, and blueprint reading, normally acquired through 1-3 years of manufacturing experience, with acute attention to detail.
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery, hand tools, and computers.
  • Observance and adherence to company policies.
  • Desire to learn new skills and improve technical knowledge.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and lead personnel to complete production requirements.
  • Strong teamwork orientation, willing to train or assist other, less experienced operators.
  • Punctual and dependable, with a high priority on producing throughout scheduled hours and excellent attendance.
Working Conditions
  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment, involving lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds.
  • Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment, including eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and protective shoes/boots.
  • Employees must demonstrate physical ability to work in a standing position, between 8-12 hours per day.
