- Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and optimize cost-efficiency across all operational areas.
- Implement and maintain stringent quality standards and processes to ensure product excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team to drive performance and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and suppliers to enhance business partnerships and identify growth opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- 5 or more years of proven experience in manufacturing.
- Strong technical knowledge of metal fabrication processes.
- Proficiency in ERP systems.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as blueprints, work orders, engineering specifications, safety rules, work rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information, communicate, and respond to questions from team members, customers, and suppliers.
Mathematical Skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Must pass the DeWys competency test.
Reasoning Ability:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete and abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must possess good problem-solving skills.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Must possess a valid Michigan Driver's License to be licensed as a qualified lift truck driver at DeWys Manufacturing, Inc.
Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the team leader is regularly required to stand; team members are frequently required to communicate with fellow team members and walk throughout the VS. Team members are occasionally required to sit while performing administrative duties. Team members may on occasion be required to climb, balance, and crawl underneath machines when performing necessary repairs or maintenance. Team leaders must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, team members are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. Team members are occasionally exposed to high places, fumes, and airborne particles when performing grinding operations; and toxic and caustic chemicals when cleaning tools. Team members are also exposed to outside weather conditions when unloading sheet metal supplies. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud, requiring hearing protection to be worn at all times. Safety glasses must also be worn at all times by team members.
