Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Community Service Counselor to join our team at Park Lawn Memorial Group, LLC. As a key member of our sales and service team, you will be responsible for establishing strong relationships with client families, providing exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth through proactive lead generation and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Service: Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our cemetery services and related merchandise, and effectively communicate these offerings to client families to meet their needs and exceed their expectations.
  • Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, referrals, and community-based contacts, with a focus on building strong relationships and driving sales growth.
  • Reporting and Administration: Maintain accurate records and submit timely reports to management, ensuring compliance with company procedures and policies.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to client families, responding promptly to their needs and concerns, and ensuring a smooth service process from pre-need to post-interment.
  • Confidentiality and Security: Protect the confidentiality of company and client family information, including sales and marketing programs, materials, and client family data.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A four-year degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is preferred. Proven track record of success in outside sales production is strongly preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with client families and internal stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) is preferred.
  • Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The duties associated with this position are generally performed in an outdoor setting, with occasional exposure to inclement weather, extreme temperatures, and uneven ground.
