Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Service department as a Cashier/Receptionist. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong focus on customer satisfaction, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain confidentiality of company information and customer non-public information at all times.
  • Calculate customer bills using our dealership's computer system.
  • Receive cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers and record the amount received on the repair order and/or counter ticket.
  • Maintain consistency when handling and closing out tickets for cash, check, and credit.
  • Make change accurately and issue receipts to customers, ensuring every repair order is signed by the customer at time of payment.
  • Ascertain and record totals of counter tickets and repair orders and verify against all cash, checks, and credit card payments on hand at end of shift.
  • Work with department managers to stay up-to-date on new products and services offered by the dealership and any changes in price.
  • Refer customers with additional questions to the Automotive Service Consultant or management team.
  • Handle customer complaints with integrity and poise, taking or referring the complaining customer to the appropriate individual for further communication.
  • Give cash refunds accurately to customers for approved returned merchandise.
  • Maintain service files timely.
  • Perform receptionist duties as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, immediately reporting any accidents to a manager or supervisor.
  • Maintain professionalism and courtesy at all times.
Requirements
  • Basic skills with computer and other office machines necessary to perform cashiering/clerical duties.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • Consent to and pass a drug/background screen.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Professional appearance and outstanding work ethic.
  • Great attitude with a high-energy personality.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Self-starter and self-motivated.
  • Enthusiasm, strong communication skills, positive attitude, ambition, work ethic, professional conduct, high integrity, and dedication to personal improvement.
  • Customer-focused.
  • Ability to work evenings until 8:00 PM.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends.
