About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Technician to join our team at PrairieCare, a leading provider of mental health services in the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to adolescent and young adult patients experiencing psychiatric/mental health disorders in the inpatient setting.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Monitor patients' daily functioning and assist in mental health symptom management.
  • Ensure patient safety and well-being through effective use of therapeutic approaches and de-escalation techniques.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in psychoeducational groups and activities to promote patient engagement and empowerment.
Requirements
  • High school graduate required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in mental health or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
