Job Title: Psychiatric Technician

PrairieCare is seeking a skilled Psychiatric Technician to join our team. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and adolescents experiencing psychiatric/mental health disorders.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and assist patients in managing their mental health symptoms
  • Ensure patient safety by using metal detectors and safe belongings management/storage
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment
  • Document patient information in a timely and accurate manner
  • Plan and facilitate psychoeducational groups with patients
  • Provide a therapeutic and healing environment for patients
Requirements:
  • High school graduate required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience in mental health or equivalent education/training
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
  • Knowledge of mental health principles and practices
