Field Service Supervisor

Cleveland Brothers, the largest Cat dealer in Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia, and western Maryland, is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Supervisor to lead our Field Service Department.
Job Summary:This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong leader to direct the activities of the Field Service Department, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service and support.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and develop the personnel of the department to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional service to our customers.
- Receive and respond to customer requests or inquiries on equipment repairs, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Assist in determining the necessary repairs and scheduling them to minimize downtime and maximize customer satisfaction.
- Research information from literature and computer-based sources to stay up-to-date on the latest repair procedures and technologies.
- Assign and schedule equipment and personnel to shop repairs, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and effectively.
- Perform other functions as assigned by necessity, such as assessing employee performance and providing guidance or recommending training needed to reach and maintain acceptable performance levels.
- Five years of hands-on supervisory experience within a field environment, demonstrating increased responsibility and knowledge of Caterpillar product lines.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical repair procedures and their application to equipment repair.
- Previous experience as a Supervisor or Manager is highly desired.
- Thorough understanding of Company/contract practices and policies in relation to the direction of the work force.
- Significant talent in the direction and scheduling of persons, as well as those who supervise and support them, to achieve the highest possible degree of productivity.
- Considerable written and verbal communication skills for the conveyance of instructions.
- Working skills in computer applications in a Windows-based environment to provide for continual improvement of department efficiency.
- Ability to manage day-to-day operations and make decisions that impact the department's performance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with intermediate computer skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office software, Lotus Notes, and DBSi.
