Position Overview
The Insurance Claims Specialist is responsible for investigating, assessing, and determining the suitable resolution for various claims related to the operations of Concord Group Insurance.

This role also involves providing assistance to agents, policyholders, and other stakeholders throughout the claims process until resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations, evaluations, and settlements of entry-level insurance claims.
  • Review insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to gain a solid understanding of the company's insurance offerings.
  • Adhere to established claims handling protocols.
  • Develop negotiation and settlement skills in claims management.
  • Address the needs of agents, policyholders, and other involved parties effectively.
  • Engage with individuals related to claims, occasionally in external settings.

Technical Proficiency
Utilize technology-driven resources for reference, input data into computer systems, and acquire specialized skills, including but not limited to property and auto estimating, as well as proficiency in computer-based tools.

Licensing
Secure and maintain the necessary adjuster's license(s) as mandated.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in property/casualty claims management.
  • At least one year of experience in insurance claims is required; this may be adjusted based on prior education or experience at the discretion of the company.
  • Proficient in writing reports and drafting correspondence.
  • Capable of accurately handling mathematical tasks, including geometry and financial calculations.
  • Adept at interacting with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data security.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and independent decision-making capabilities.
