Position Overview:
The Internal Medicine Registered Nurse Resident will integrate into our community, participating in one of the most inclusive and comprehensive training programs available. You will collaborate with experienced nurses dedicated to mentoring and guiding new graduates.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct nursing assessments to evaluate health status.
- Perform telephone triage as needed.
- Alert physicians of any abnormal findings.
- Develop care plans in partnership with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Work with care coordinators to facilitate effective transitions of care.
- Assist in specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patient responses.
- Initiate CPR and other emergency protocols as necessary.
- Provide health education tailored to patients and families, adapting content to meet learning needs.
- Ensure smooth operations within ambulatory areas.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and research to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
- Maintain ongoing professional development and complete annual core competencies.
Education and Certifications:
Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, with a BSN preferred. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA). For roles involving moderate sedation or cardiac stress testing, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within six months of hire.

Work Experience:
A minimum of one year of recent nursing experience is required. Current Cleveland Clinic caregivers in ambulatory settings may have their previous clinical experience considered for this role.

The position necessitates full mobility, manual dexterity, and the ability to communicate effectively. Candidates should be prepared for potential exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids, with physical demands categorized as light work.
