About the Surgical Services Unit

Our 9 Surgical Services unit features 16 beds and caters to a diverse range of surgical and post-surgical needs for adult patients. The unit primarily handles elective surgeries, including procedures such as hip replacements, cosmetic surgeries, and more. This variety allows our nursing staff to gain comprehensive experience in surgical patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care to patients.
  • Effectively monitor and document patient conditions.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Assess and coordinate discharge plans for patients.

Responsibilities Overview:

  • Participate in a residency program tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Provide direct nursing care under supervision, adhering to established protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • BSN is preferred.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
