Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves contributing to the development of our expanding portfolio of clean energy products, produced through a global network of contract manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate in the design and enhancement of new and existing products.
2. Create and evaluate schematics to meet documented product requirements and specifications.
3. Assist in PCB layout for assigned design responsibilities.
4. Select, specify, and test components to support design objectives, ensuring cost targets are met.
5. Conduct analyses to validate design requirements, including circuit simulation and reliability assessments.
6. Develop project schedules to align with product timelines.
7. Plan and execute Design Validation Tests for new designs and revisions.
8. Lead and participate in Design Reviews, focusing on manufacturability and testability.
9. Generate necessary documentation such as installation manuals and application notes.
10. Support product certification testing with Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTLs).
11. Provide ongoing technical support to internal teams and contract manufacturers.
12. Analyze returned products to identify root causes and propose corrective actions.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant industry experience, ideally within an electronic products environment.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience in power electronics design and testing.
- Familiarity with schematic entry and PCB design processes.
- Knowledge of design analysis tools such as DFMEA and Risk Assessment.
- Understanding of grid interconnect requirements and distributed energy generation technologies.
- Proficiency with engineering lab test equipment including oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.

Skills and Abilities:
- Strong theoretical knowledge of electrical engineering principles.
- Innovative mindset in electronics and product design.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent decision-making skills grounded in engineering principles.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively and manipulate objects or controls. The role may involve standing, walking, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions include frequent computer-based work requiring periods of sitting and close vision adjustments.
