Position Summary:

The Retail Technology division is in search of an inquisitive and proactive Business Analyst to become part of our expanding Retail Applications Group. This role will collaborate closely with the Retail, Rental, and Operations departments, ensuring the effective functioning of technology across our numerous retail locations. The focus will be on a suite of essential Retail Applications, including ERP systems, reporting tools, and point-of-sale solutions. This position will require cross-functional collaboration with various departments, including Merchandising, Operations, Warehousing, and Accounting, playing a vital role in maintaining system performance and implementing key IT improvements.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about enhancing and supporting a complex retail landscape. They should be adept at navigating between technical analysis, business analysis, and quality assurance, demonstrating flexibility across these areas. This role adds value through insightful leadership, technical expertise, process optimization, and collaboration with third-party development partners. We are looking for someone who enjoys both field troubleshooting and addressing business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Management: Evaluate the severity and priority of production issues, assess business impact, and communicate resolution progress.
  • Manage issue tickets in accordance with ITIL practices across retail systems and server integrations.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, PCI, and DSR requirements, maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Utilize technical skills in SQL and data monitoring tools to resolve complex issues.

Enhancement Delivery:

  • Implement significant system enhancements to bolster stability and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all enhancement initiatives adhere to the SDLC process and maintain compliance documentation.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the QA Life Cycle by creating test plans, documenting results, and coordinating testing environments.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Establish strong relationships with third-party vendors, IT partners, and business stakeholders to support production environments and enhancement tasks.
  • Oversee backlog management for enhancements, ensuring alignment with SDLC practices.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT business analysis or production support, following ITIL methodologies.
  • Proven ability to resolve technical issues with high-quality customer support and clear communication.
  • Experience delivering system enhancements using SDLC methodologies.
  • Familiarity with MS Development Technologies, including PowerShell, SQL Server, SSRS, and SSIS.
  • Prior experience with application ownership in relevant systems.
  • Strong SQL and system diagramming capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple technical enhancements and application maintenance tasks.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred:

  • Experience in the retail, outdoor, or hospitality sectors.
  • Familiarity with APTOS, MMS, or similar software applications.
  • Exposure to various database technologies.
  • Experience with analytics tools such as SSAS, SSRS, SAS, Tableau, or Alteryx.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Macros and VBA.
  • Experience with work order systems like Jira.
  • Relevant certifications or coursework in business analysis or project management.
