Job Overview: Desktop Engineering Support
This role involves researching, assessing, designing, implementing, and maintaining system and product solutions, utilizing engineering principles. The position requires developing and sustaining a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager to deliver engineering and technical support focused on End User Computing. The individual will provide technical guidance and engineering assistance for various projects and infrastructure. It is essential to keep abreast of evolving IT engineering technologies, industry competition, concepts, and trends.

Core Responsibilities
  • Apply engineering principles to design and enhance both new and existing systems
  • Execute engineering tasks and assignments to meet business requirements
  • Conduct technology research, procurement, deployment, and configuration for new and modified systems
  • Present organized and clear information to diverse audiences to facilitate effective business decisions
  • Engage in projects and ad hoc tasks of varying scope
  • Document new system components or modifications to existing components
  • Participate in on-call rotations
  • Adhere to internal processes and detailed procedures to support engineering functions
  • Provide Tier III support for end user computing utilizing ServiceNow
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Ensure the security and integrity of system and product solutions, maintaining compliance with industry engineering and Information Security principles and practices
  • Manage full life-cycle project management
  • Establish and lead project teams
  • Develop project plans, scopes, schedules, costs, and communications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in CyberSecurity, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of MECM functionalities
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting to address specific desktop issues
  • Solid desktop engineering, administration, and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Eagerness to learn new system functions and concepts related to desktop engineering
  • Effective communication and documentation skills for technical and end-user documentation
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management abilities
  • Advanced research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment to achieve objectives
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and adapting to frequently changing requirements, priorities, and procedures
  • Working knowledge of engineering disciplines
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with MECM, PowerShell, GitHub, Change Management ITIL best practices, and ServiceNow
  • Familiarity with environments focused on Data Loss Prevention (DLP) controls and the ability to assist in defining standards and policies
  • Experience collaborating with DLP team members to influence product strategy and roadmaps for quality and continuous delivery
  • Integration of Agile principles into team practices and work products using Objectives and Key Results (OKR)
  • Proven track record in technical design of solutions based on use cases and business requirements
  • Awareness of emerging technologies and threats to proactively assess and evaluate their adoption within the organization
  • Good understanding of Cloud standards, architecture, and models
  • Experience with Splunk and/or UberAgent
  • Familiarity with NIST Risk Management Framework
  • Knowledge of network security concepts and principles
  • Understanding of Server and Endpoint operating system security
  • CISSP or CCNP Security certification is a plus
  • Experience across multiple platforms including Citrix, Windows, and MAC
  • Knowledge of Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft Defender Exploit Guard
  • Experience with Desktop as a Service (DaaS) in relation to Azure Virtual Desktop
