Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Security Engineer to join our team at OneWeb Technologies. This role will support the Security Operations Team in maintaining and enhancing the organization's security posture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security tools.
  • Support the configuration and management of security software and hardware to ensure the protection of the organization's network and data.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of security architectures and guidelines.
  • Monitor security alerts and analyze logs for potential threats or incidents.
  • Participate in threat detection activities, using security tools to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in the organization's systems.
  • Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to evaluate the effectiveness of security measures.
  • Support the Incident Response Team in investigating and responding to security incidents, breaches, or attacks.
  • Participate in post-incident analysis and reporting, helping to implement lessons learned to strengthen security measures.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., NIST) and other regulatory requirements related to security.
  • Aid in preparing security reports for internal and external stakeholders, documenting security incidents, compliance status, and risk management activities.
  • Contribute to audits and assessments by gathering necessary data and supporting documentation.
Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in information security or related technical roles.
  • Basic knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST) and other regulatory requirements.
  • Understands basic networking, operating systems, and cloud security concepts.
  • Experience with security tools such as firewalls, SIEMs, and endpoint protection is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP (Associate) are preferred.
