As a School-Based Crisis Intervention Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering integrated clinical and crisis support services within educational environments. Your primary focus will be to enhance the social, emotional, and academic success of students, their families, and school staff.
Job Details
Location: North Albany Academy
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $53,000 - $60,000 annually
Travel Requirements: Minimal
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct crisis interventions to address immediate clinical concerns impacting students and staff.
- Provide clinical guidance in collaboration with school personnel for enrolled students.
- Perform comprehensive Mental Health Status Examinations and Assessments.
- Develop safety plans in partnership with school staff and students.
- Facilitate appropriate service referrals and connections to community resources.
- Engage in community outreach to students, families, and school staff following assessments.
- Communicate clinical recommendations effectively to ensure that the needs of students and families are met.
- Collaborate with school district personnel for clinical consultations.
- Document all interventions and assessments in accordance with agency and contractual obligations.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as required.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
Qualifications:
- A Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field is required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a school setting and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Must possess a valid license (LMHC, LMSW, LCSW, or LCSW-R) prior to commencement.
- A valid driver's license is necessary.
