Job Function/Description:

  • Primary Contact: Act as the primary contact for both internal and external legal inquiries, ensuring effective and precise communication to the appropriate legal team members.
  • Assistance and Guidance: Offer assistance and guidance to colleagues concerning contract-related issues and their current statuses.
  • Legal Intake Management: Oversee and manage legal intake processes, including logging requests, monitoring progress, and ensuring prompt responses through various communication channels.
  • Administrative Assistance: Provide administrative support for daily operations, including budget approval requests and invoice processing.
  • Document Preparation and Review: Aid in the preparation and review of legal documents, contracts, and correspondence to ensure adherence to legal standards and corporate policies.
  • Contract Oversight: Manage the routing of contracts for signatures, and collect and store executed contracts in designated shared folders.
  • Database Management: Maintain and update legal and compliance databases and files, ensuring they are current and easily accessible.
  • Meeting Coordination: Organize meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and documenting minutes.
  • Facilitation of Communication: Promote effective communication between the Legal & Compliance team and other departments within the organization.
  • Legal Research and Reporting: Assist with legal research and compile relevant reports.
  • Legal Assistance: Support other legal matters such as litigation, claims, and disputes.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Carry out other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in the legal department of a logistics company or a related industry.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all organizational levels.
  • Work Ethic: Strong work ethic and a customer-focused attitude.
