About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Associate to join our team at Duke University. As a key member of our Patient Revenue Management Organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our revenue cycle processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Visit Preparation: Review next day patients and complete necessary preparation activities to ensure a seamless clinic experience.
  • Patient Check-In/Out: Verify patient demographic data, check-in patients, and manage all necessary documentation.
  • Charge Posting and Cash Management: Accurately identify and post charges, collect co-payments and balances, and manage cash handling procedures.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Schedule tests and procedures, coordinate lab work, and maintain accurate records.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, respond to patient inquiries, and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum one year of experience in a healthcare-related field, preferably in a revenue cycle or clinical operations role.
  • Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, basic computer skills, and knowledge of medical terminology.
