- Address community concerns and complaints, providing resolutions and follow-up as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments, local agencies, and stakeholders to address public safety issues and enhance community relations.
- Prepare reports, analyze data, and maintain records related to community engagement and program effectiveness.
- Develop and distribute informational materials to educate the public about crime prevention, safety programs, and departmental services.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent education and work experience.
- Knowledge of the City of Portland, its neighborhoods, social services, and demographics.
- Knowledge of private and public resources available to assist neighborhood residents.
- Flexibility of work hours will be required as liaison work may be needed at varying times.
- Exceptional written, oral and platform presentation skills.
- Proven ability to work with socially diverse populations.
- Strong conflict resolution and team-building skills.
- Must pass Police background check.
