Job Title: Shop Mechanic 2nd

We are seeking a skilled Shop Mechanic 2nd to join our team at The H&K Group, Inc. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.

Job Summary:

The Shop Mechanic 2nd will be responsible for repairing and maintaining electric, diesel, and gasoline vocational trucks. This includes performing routine maintenance tasks, diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical issues, and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, including engine problems, transmission issues, and electrical system malfunctions.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective workflow.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technical developments and advancements in the field.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Class A or B CDL or ability to obtain within one year.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
