Job Overview

The Maintenance Support Specialist will ensure maximum operating efficiency, maintenance, and repair of machines and equipment in production and facility. This role is responsible for maintaining and performing preventive maintenance on production equipment, maintaining records of maintenance activities, creating requisitions for parts and supplies to maintain equipment, and assisting other maintenance personnel as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities, including equipment maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
  • Supply Chain Management: Create requisitions for parts and supplies to maintain equipment and ensure timely delivery.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist other maintenance personnel as required to ensure smooth operation of production equipment.
  • Safety and Quality: Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with safety policies and procedures, and that products are manufactured to meet quality and value expectations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Entry-level experience in production machinery and equipment, with a fundamental understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Skills: Ability to make decisions based on standard practices, basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, familiarity with OSHA regulations, and basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: 1 year of food manufacturing experience or more.
  • Education: Industrial Maintenance or Mechatronics Diploma.
  • Skills: SAP experience, strong machine operating skills.
Working Conditions

The Maintenance Support Specialist will work in a fast-paced production environment with occasional exposure to industrial operations, including temperature extremes, noise levels, and moisture. The role requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, flex, and extend the neck, as well as frequently grip, reach, lift, and pull with both hands.
