PILOT BENEFITS

Depending on specific operational requirements, newly hired pilots may qualify for:

  • Competitive starting salary ranging from $83,640 to $92,004, based on experience
  • Geographic salary adjustments between 2% to 30%, contingent on assigned location
  • A sign-on bonus of $15,000 and a retention bonus of $40,000 after three years, applicable at all locations
  • A favorable 7/7 work schedule
  • Complimentary 24-hour housing available at all bases
ROLE SUMMARY

Responsible for ensuring that all flight operations involving company aircraft adhere to Federal Aviation Regulations, the Air Evac EMS Operations Manual, and all relevant state and local regulations.
  • Safely operates the aircraft with a strong focus on compliance with the Rotorcraft Flight Manual
  • Continuously monitors weather forecasts and current conditions
  • Conducts thorough preflight inspections of the aircraft prior to each shift and/or accepting missions. Any discrepancies identified during preflight will be documented in the engineering log, along with a notification to maintenance regarding the issue and corrective measures taken
  • Reports for duty well-rested and prepared, staying informed about weather changes and forecasts
QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

Minimum of 2000 hours total flight time
At least 1500 hours of helicopter flight time
Minimum of 1000 hours as pilot in command of helicopters
At least 500 hours of turbine flight time
100 hours of night flight unaided, or 50 hours unaided with 100 hours aided
Previous experience in Helicopter Air Ambulance operations or equivalent is preferred

Education and Credentials:

Commercial Certificate for Rotorcraft-Helicopter
Instrument Rating for Rotorcraft-Helicopter

High school diploma or equivalent

Other Requirements:

Must meet a weight limit of 230 pounds while dressed in flight suit and boots
