Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as our Club Operations Manager. This key leadership role will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our designated Club, ensuring the delivery of high-quality programs and services to our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership
    • Supervise and support a team of part-time staff and program directors to ensure the successful implementation of programs and services.
    • Develop and implement programs that promote youth development outcomes and create a positive club environment.
    • Maintain a safe and healthy environment, ensuring the proper maintenance of facilities, equipment, and supplies.
    • Monitor and evaluate program participation and attendance, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal results.
    • Grow membership and ADA of the Club through effective outreach and engagement strategies.
  • Strategic Planning
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the Club's goals and objectives.
    • Compile regular reports on program activities, attendance, and participation.
  • Resource Management
    • Manage the Club's financial resources, developing and implementing budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility.
    • Oversee the maintenance of administrative and operational systems, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
    • Recruit, manage, and provide professional development opportunities for club staff and volunteers.
    • Conduct regular evaluations and staff meetings, providing ongoing feedback and coaching.
  • Partnership Development
    • Develop and maintain partnerships with parents, community leaders, and organizations to support the Club's mission.
  • Marketing and Public Relations
    • Develop and maintain public relations to increase the visibility of programs and services within the Club and community.
    • Coordinate outside resources and experiential learning opportunities to enhance programs.
    • Host club visits and community events to promote the Club's mission and services.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Purchase or approve the purchase of supplies and equipment.
    • Work with staff on special events to conduct programs in all departments.
    • Exercise authority in problems relating to members, utilizing guidance and discipline plans.
    • Assume other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
    • A minimum of five years of work experience in a Boys & Girls or similar organization, planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people.
    • Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and the recruitment and retention of key personnel.
    • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
    • A plus: Bilingual (French or Spanish/English) preferred, if applicable.
    • Strong computer skills.
    • Ability to recruit, train, supervise, and motivate staff.
    • Ability to deal effectively with members, including discipline problems.
    • Working knowledge of budget preparation, control, and management.
    • Skills in fund-raising events.
    • Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents, and community leaders.
    • Must have a valid Ohio or Michigan driver's license and be insurable.
    • Hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 11:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. This is a full-time, exempt position and may include evenings and weekends.
    Relationships
    • Internal: Maintains close daily contact with Club professional staff to interpret and explain organizational mission, program objectives, and standards.
    • External: Maintains contact with external community groups, schools, members' parents, and others to assist in resolving problems and to publicize the Club.
    Physical and Mental Requirements/Work Environment
    • This is a full-time, exempt position. Hours are typically Monday through Friday, including evenings and weekends.
    • The physical demands and characteristics of the work environment described here represent those occurring in performing the essential functions of this job.
    • Ability to reason well and have sound judgment.
    • Physical requirements include sight, hearing, and standing for extended periods.
    • Must be physically able to interact and take part in all Club functions.
