Senior Technical Operations Manager

As a Senior Technical Manager at CBRE, you will oversee the team responsible for mechanical operations, maintenance, communications, energy management, and workforce development programs for a facility, campus, or portfolio of buildings. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide formal supervision to employees, monitor training and development, conduct performance evaluations, and oversee recruiting and hiring.
Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines, mentor, and coach as needed.
Manage operations and maintenance for assigned facilities, develop operating and capital budgets, and recommend improvements for preventive maintenance programs.
Point of contact for maintenance efforts with outside contractors, tenant finish personnel, and technicians. Coordinate all building systems, including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical issues, and remain current with the latest technology trends.
Maintain ongoing communication with high-profile tenants, clients, owners, facility management teams, and vendors. Drive the acquisition of new management contracts and facilitate the development of as-built drawings.
Respond to emergency situations and client concerns, apply a broad knowledge of the business, lead programs, and share processes with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems. Leadership skills to empower the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on multiple job disciplines and departments.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive attitude. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
