Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor throughout events.
  • Deliver food service for banquet occasions in line with Sonesta's standards.
  • Prepare action stations and assist in cooking tasks, ensuring adherence to presentation guidelines.
  • Set up buffet displays, both hot and cold, within designated timeframes.
  • Monitor and replenish food levels at buffet stations.
  • Engage with guests to identify dietary restrictions and preferences, communicating these to the appropriate banquet staff.
  • Exhibit proper techniques for brewing coffee and tea.
  • Understand seating arrangements for plated meals and execute serving techniques effectively.
  • Complete daily side tasks, including post-event cleanup and organization of work areas.
  • Attend all necessary pre-shift and post-shift meetings with banquet management.
  • Ensure all equipment is stored neatly and cleanly as per instructions from banquet leadership.
  • Foster positive relationships with colleagues, treating them with respect and dignity.
  • Support team dynamics while balancing individual responsibilities.
  • Encourage group morale and commitment to shared goals.
  • Assist in various hotel operations as needed, demonstrating flexibility in job duties.
  • Deliver enthusiastic and engaging service to guests, recognizing their individual needs and exceeding expectations.
  • Consistently apply the GUEST service model:
    • Greet everyone warmly with a smile.
    • Use eye contact and address guests by name.
    • Establish and anticipate guest needs.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range

Compensation is set at $16.00 per hour, with variations based on experience and qualifications.
