Shift: Day Shift, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Experience: 1 year of vascular or interventional experience
License: State Radiologic Technician License
Certifications:
- ARRT Registration
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Vascular/Interventional Radiography Certification or one year of Angio/Interventional experience
Preferred Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification
Must-Have:
- Manual dexterity for manipulating complex equipment
- Ability to lift and transfer patients
- Strong communication skills
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and preparation for exams.
- Prepare patients using appropriate body mechanics and techniques.
- Produce quality images through correct operation of equipment.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and thoroughly, including time stamps and image storage.
- Maintain work area and stock necessary supplies.
- Transport patients as needed safely and comfortably.
- Develop knowledge regarding invasive, diagnostic, and interventional supplies and techniques.
- Apply closure device, suture the sheath in place, or remove the sheath and apply pressure as needed after procedures.
- Understand and apply principles of x-ray generation and safety.
- Operate imaging equipment correctly and ensure patient comfort.
- Provide procedural assistance as a circulating, scrub, or monitoring tech, adhering to lab policies and procedures.
- Engage in frequent interactions with care providers, patients, and visitors effectively.
