Essential Qualifications: Expertise in ADAS and Cab Domain software is required.

The Controls and Software division at Smart Bot Systems is tasked with the comprehensive development of embedded software, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, integration, and release management.

As a Product Development Engineer, you will be an integral part of this team, engaging in all phases of software development. This role involves contributing to the Application Software team, which focuses on developing control and software logic for various ECU applications owned by the company, encompassing ADAS systems, Powertrain Controls, Body Cab Controls, and Chassis Controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software solutions for Driver Assistance and Cab-Body functionalities.
  • Create software requirements and algorithms using embedded software development methodologies.
  • Produce necessary documentation to ensure compliance with development processes.
  • Conduct functional verification and testing of designs using data-replay and plant-based closed-loop simulation techniques.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to control software.
  • Participate actively in peer reviews to enhance product quality and development processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to enhance software capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Knowledge of embedded software development in Driver Assistance Systems and Cab Body functionalities.
  • Proficiency with engineering tools such as Matlab, Simulink, MS Visio, and INCA calibration tools.
  • Experience in programming languages like C/C++ and familiarity with embedded software development tools.
  • Ability to perform functional simulations using data-replay or plant-based closed-loop techniques.
  • Background in Vehicle, Powertrain, or Engine Control System design.
  • Understanding of engineering and quality methodologies, including 8D, FMEA, and DVP&R.
  • Strong grasp of functional areas such as Autonomous Electronics (Radar, Lidar, Camera), Vehicle Communications, and Networking.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across departments.
  • Knowledge of In-Vehicle communication protocols such as CAN, J1939, UDS, and XCP.
  • Familiarity with problem-solving techniques and root cause analysis.
  • Experience with software debugging and testing tools, including CANalyzer and other instrumentation tools.
  • Understanding of best practices in software engineering throughout the software development lifecycle, including coding standards and version control.
