Job Summary:

Diamond Ridge Construction is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting field evaluations of new and existing electrical power distribution systems, analyzing and designing new or rehabilitated infrastructure, and providing technical support for field execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field Evaluations: Conduct thorough field evaluations of existing electrical power distribution systems to identify areas for improvement and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades.
  • Design and Analysis: Develop calculations, repair drawings, and repair/replacement recommendations, specifications, and scope of work packages for new or rehabilitated infrastructure.
  • Client and Contractor Interface: Participate in client and contractor interface, attend meetings, and oversee written reports to ensure effective communication and project progress.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support for field execution, including outage/turnaround projects, to ensure safe and efficient completion.
  • Constructability Planning: Assist in constructability planning, proposal, and estimate development to ensure projects are feasible and cost-effective.
  • Power Distribution: Provide expertise in power distribution (medium and low voltage) for industrial plants, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: 3 to 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power distribution systems.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) Certification: P.E. certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of electrical engineering codes, Arc Flash preferred, and experience mentoring and leading teams required.
  • Communication Skills: Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and team members.
