Lead Quality Assurance Engineer

In the role of Lead Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be instrumental in spearheading initiatives aimed at enhancing quality standards for Body, Exteriors, and HVAC systems within Navistar's diverse product range. Your technical acumen will be essential in diagnosing and addressing challenges, working in tandem with multidisciplinary teams to elevate system efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer specialized knowledge and guidance on manufacturing challenges
  • Oversee and interpret extensive, intricate data collections
  • Examine warranty patterns to bolster quality enhancement initiatives
  • Conduct thorough investigations and promote resolution of issues
  • Employ analytical techniques to identify fundamental causes of problems
  • Lead intricate projects alongside cross-functional teams
  • Effectively communicate with teams and stakeholders

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering
  • A minimum of 8 years in Engineering and Reliability or Quality Assurance roles
  • At least 1 year of experience in a leadership capacity

Preferred Skills:

  • Background in automotive/truck body/chassis systems or aerospace/defense sectors
  • Expertise in root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies
  • Familiarity with APQP tools and Lean Six Sigma principles
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and presentation capabilities
  • Experience with statistical and reliability analysis tools
