Job Title: System Administrator

ManTech is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our team in Laurel, Maryland.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and customer-oriented System Administrator to provide technical support and maintenance for our IT systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in system administration, network security, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze user requirements and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements.
  • Provide Tier 1 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
  • Support implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Monitor and maintain IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/network devices.
  • Configure systems to meet organizational operational needs.
  • Create and maintain detailed system documentation, including configurations, procedures, and change management logs.
  • Work with team members to build applications for customers.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting services for customers.
  • Monitor systems for potential security threats or usability concerns.
  • Write scripts to automate tasks.
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models.
  • Oversee the development and deployment of Windows software and hardware systems.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a technical discipline.
  • Five years of additional System Administrator experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with Windows scripting, installing software, and hardware.
  • Ability to work late during patching days and cover a 6am-6pm shift.
Clearance Requirements:

Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

The candidate must be able to move, carry, and deliver workstations from inside the office to customer's desk.

The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and/or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
