Position Overview:

Currently, ManTech is seeking a dedicated and career-oriented System Administrator to contribute to our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze user requirements and high-level system architectures to formulate system specifications.
  • Deliver Tier 1 (Help Desk) support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Assist in the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/network devices.
  • Facilitate the patching of systems and hardware issues while remaining engaged in the resolution process.
  • Configure systems to align with organizational operational needs.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including configurations, procedures, and change management logs.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop applications for clients.
  • Provide troubleshooting services for end-users.
  • Monitor systems for potential security threats or usability issues.
  • Develop scripts to automate routine tasks.
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models as necessary.
  • Oversee the development and deployment of software and hardware systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope and complexity.
  • A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited institution is required. Alternatively, five (5) years of additional experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Proficiency in Windows scripting for software and hardware installation.
  • Availability to work late during patching days and cover a 6am-6pm shift.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of system administration interdependencies within a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate must be capable of moving, carrying, and delivering workstations within the office environment. The role requires remaining stationary for 50% of the time and effective communication with colleagues and management.
