Job Summary

The Peaks Care Center is seeking a qualified Medication Administration Personnel to join our team. As a Medication Administration Specialist, you will be responsible for administering medication and treatment to our residents, ensuring their safety and well-being. You will also assist the caregiving department in providing a supportive and enriching environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medication and complete daily shift reports
  • Manage assigned tasks within the scheduled shift
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
  • Provide residents with medication administration and treatment assistance and services according to the health care provider's orders
  • Supervise residents who self-administer medication while following community and regulatory guidelines
  • Report any changes in residents' physical condition and/or behaviors
  • Provide assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living
  • Document daily log of assistance
  • Follow the schedule of resident's needs set out by supervisor
  • Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One (1) years of experience preferred
  • Must have current Med Tech or QMAP certification. Certification must remain current during employment
  • CPR certification
  • First Aide Certification
