Medical Biller

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Biller - Charge Entry Specialist to join our team at Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies. As a Medical Biller, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely billing and charge entry for our patients.

• Process patient demographic and insurance information, office charges, surgery charges, payments, and adjustments with high accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop a thorough understanding of insurance plans and OCR's participation with insurance carriers, working closely with insurance coordinators to ensure seamless billing processes.
• Perform cashiering duties, including settlements of patient accounts, issuing receipts, preparing bank deposits, and maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
• Record and update patient demographic information, obtaining required billing and insurance information from patients and/or co-workers as needed.
• Process billing from the Health Care Finance Administration and Uniform Billing Form 92 (UB92).
• Examine visit tickets, claim forms, and explanation of benefits for potential problems and communicate findings in a timely manner.
• Communicate all concerns, risk management issues, breakdowns in protocol, and constructive criticisms to the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including personal space, computer room, and record storage area.

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum one year experience in a data entry role, preferably in a medical environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Proven speed and accuracy in data entry and 10-key procedures.
