Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Engineer to join our team, responsible for designing, developing, and testing next-generation encryption devices for Layer 3 In-line Network Encryptors.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop high-speed or ultra-low power digital circuit boards for encryption devices.
- Implement and test next-generation encryption devices on cutting-edge hardware platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of encryption solutions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- 8+ years of experience in hardware design or sustaining experience.
- Foundational knowledge of analog and digital logic, timing considerations, and secure communication protocols.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and take ownership of results.
- US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with MS Office products for documentation creation and modification.
- Familiarity with standard test equipment and production-related processes.
Viasat offers a comprehensive compensation package, including a competitive salary range of $132,000 to $230,000 annually, plus additional cash or stock incentives, and a range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
