Combustion & Propulsion Operations Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Engineer to join our team at RTX. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our combustion and propulsion test facilities, ensuring they are well-maintained and provide a safe and functional environment for our test team.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, schedule, and prioritize maintenance tasks to ensure timely and efficient completion.
- Develop and implement a total preventative maintenance program to minimize the need for emergency repairs.
- Manage budgets for maintenance, repair, and capital-funded work, ensuring projects are completed within budget constraints.
- Provide guidance to maintenance contractors, internal tradespeople, and mechanical/electrical technicians to ensure high-quality work.
- Manage capital upgrade projects, from requirements documentation to procurement and construction.
- Provide regular reports on maintenance and capital operations to leadership, including progress reports and financial data.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in facilities operations.
- Strong communication and project management skills, with experience leading capital improvement projects and maintenance teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems and other relevant software tools.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to maintenance, repair, and construction work.
- Experience creating and editing drawings in AutoCAD.
- Experience in a test facility or experimental lab environment.
- Experience with Building Codes and ASME Process and/or Power Piping Code.
- Interest in Aerospace technology.
