Become a Vital Member of the Stone House Volunteer Fire and Rescue Team

Overview: Join one of the most active fire stations in the region, where we respond to approximately 5,000 fire and emergency medical calls each year.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in a wide range of emergency situations, from minor incidents to significant events such as cardiac emergencies, vehicle collisions, hazardous material spills, structural fires, and train accidents.
  • Participate in a comprehensive training program, including the Firefighter I & II certification at the Public Safety Academy.
  • Commit to a 12-hour weekly duty crew shift along with a rotating weekend shift.
  • Complete a mandatory probationary period lasting at least 6 months.
