Firefighter ALS Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Firefighter ALS to join our team at the City of Manassas. As a Firefighter ALS, you will be responsible for protecting life and property by performing difficult protective service work associated with fire suppression, emergency medical services, and related emergency response.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive fire apparatus and operate fire pumps and/or aerial devices in emergency situations.
  • Provide advanced life support and emergency medical care.
  • Meet all Departmental, City and State requirements for this position.
Requirements:
  • Current Virginia certification as a Firefighter II, VA EMT-Intermediate or VA EMT-Paramedic, or National Registry paramedic.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid Virginia driver's license.
  • High school diploma or GED.
