Job Title: Pre School Director

Are you a passionate and experienced leader in early childhood education? Do you have a vision for creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young children and their families? We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Pre School Director to join our team at the JCC Family Enrichment Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Job Summary:

The Pre School Director will be responsible for leading our Early Childhood Program, which serves 78 children from eight weeks through five years. The successful candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, a passion for Reggio-inspired curriculum development, and excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a Reggio-inspired curriculum that promotes child-centered learning and fosters a love of learning in young children.
  • Lead a team of 23 teachers and enrichment specialists, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with NM DHS licensing requirements and maintain a 4-star rating.
  • Develop and manage budgets to ensure the effective delivery of programs and services.
  • Collaborate with the JCC Marketing department to develop publicity materials and recruit participants.
  • Facilitate the Early Childhood Parent Committee to ensure parent engagement and feedback.
  • Attend professional conferences and stay up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience in early childhood education.
  • Bachelor's degree in ECE/Education, Master's preferred.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn and integrate Jewish traditions and culture into programs.
  • Strong organizational, writing, and speaking skills, with the ability to articulate the JCC's mission and core values.
