Job Title: Senior Construction Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Project Engineer to join our New Construction division in Spokane. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting with the Request for Proposal (RFP) and procurement process, tracking current and future jobs, reviewing contracts and drawings, and coordinating equipment procurement with our purchasing department and outside vendors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the RFP and procurement process
  • Track current and future jobs, review contracts and drawings, and specifications
  • Coordinate equipment procurement with our purchasing department and outside vendors
  • Schedule, develop the scope of work with subcontractors, and assist in the preparation of monthly financial reporting
  • Communicate with general contractors, architects, engineers, and owners
  • Work closely with our project management team and respond to questions raised by superintendents and field workers on a daily basis
  • Work with the project team to solve problems and gain hands-on experience in the field
  • Create and respond to requests for information (RFI)
  • Develop, process, and track equipment, materials, and informational submittals
  • Create site-specific work plans and create operations and maintenance manuals for our clients
  • Process change orders, create billing breakdowns, and conduct quantify take-off and estimates
Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, or comparable degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Three (3) years of experience in engineering, project management, or construction is required
  • Experience working for a General Contractor or Major Mechanical Subcontractor preferred
  • Proficient with scheduling software: Microsoft Project, Primavera, and/or Suretrak preferred
  • Completed OSHA 30 class is required
