Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Project Engineer to join our team at Kirby Nagelhout Construction Company. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our staff, reviewing bidding and design documents, and overseeing the construction process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support project teams in preconstruction efforts, project start-up, documentation, contract administration, site orientations, schedule management, reporting, material procurement, field supervision, and project closeout
  • Track and review certified payroll reports, manage drawings/specifications, and keep revisions current
  • Assist Superintendent with non-conformance issues, special inspections, safety, compliance, and permit and certificate of occupancy processes
  • Initiate, prepare, review, track, and distribute RFIs, and review submittals and shop drawings for accuracy and expedite for timely review
  • Participate in project meetings, create agendas, take meeting minutes, and facilitate project walk throughs
  • Assist in preparation of bid packages and requests for proposals (RFP), and track and inspect project deliveries
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering related field and/or minimum of 3-years experience in a construction related support role
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, MS Project or P6 (scheduling), Bluebeam, Procore or Sage (construction management), and PowerPoint or Prezi (presenting)
  • Solid organization, written and verbal communication skills, efficient in time management, and ability to multi-task and adhere to/meet deadlines
  • Strong customer-oriented approach and demonstrated professional demeanor, current driver's license and insurable driving record
