Job Summary:

We're seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to join our Advanced Manufacturing Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.

The Senior Construction Manager will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and supervising assistant superintendents, contractors, and craft activities. They will develop and enhance customer relationships by providing exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement projects to ensure timely completion and budget adherence
  • Review construction documents for completeness and constructability
  • Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies
  • Develop and manage project schedules, including three and six-week look-ahead schedules
  • Manage site logistics and Mortenson tools and equipment
  • Collaborate with project partner superintendents
  • Coach, supervise, and develop team members
  • Conduct on-site project orientations and pre-construction planning sessions
  • Supervise project partners, craft foremen, and crews
  • Manage craft team member training and performance evaluations
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Minimum eight years of construction experience with two years of supervisory experience
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Basic understanding of construction law and business practices
  • Microsoft Office skills at an intermediate level
  • Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
  • Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
  • 100% travel required
  • Current driver's license
