Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements, reconciliations, and other financial reports, as well as assisting with internal controls and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and record journal entries for asset, liability, revenue, and expense accounts
  • Maintain and balance accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions
  • Ensure internal controls are followed and documentation is maintained in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley policies and procedures
  • Assist with the month-end closing process, conducting research and making correction journal entries for account discrepancies
  • Prepare assigned financial statements and related footnotes monthly, quarterly, and annually
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Arts/Science in Accounting preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Accounting: 3 years (Required)
