At Showboat Hotel & Island Waterpark, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and service are maintained in our hotel and waterpark facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate Daily Housekeeping Operations: Oversee daily cleaning schedules, room assignments, and special requests to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Serve as Primary Point of Contact: Respond to guest and staff inquiries, and resolve issues promptly to maintain a positive and respectful environment.
  • Maintain Housekeeping Records: Update and manage cleaning logs, staff schedules, inventory lists, and work orders to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Other Departments: Work closely with front desk, maintenance, and management to ensure timely and effective communication and service delivery.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies: Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and other housekeeping materials to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Conduct Regular Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and compliance with quality standards.
  • Perform Administrative Duties: Prepare reports, update databases, and process invoices to support the housekeeping department.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping, hotel operations, or a related administrative role is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be fluent in Spanish.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with property management systems (PMS) is an asset.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
