Job Summary

This is an open and ongoing posting for experienced and dynamic individuals as Instructors for Executive and Employee Education Programming with the UVA Northern Virginia team.

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality instruction in courses related to your area of expertise, incorporating real-world examples, case studies, and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to the design of program objectives, learning outcomes, and assessment strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with business development directors, UVA Northern Virginia administration, and faculty team to ensure the program's relevance and alignment with industry standards and client expectations.
  • Adapt instructional techniques to meet the diverse learning styles and needs of participants.
  • Foster a collaborative and participatory learning environment by encouraging active participation, facilitating discussions, and providing constructive feedback.
  • As instructed, provide coaching and mentoring to participants, helping them apply concepts learned in the program to their specific professional contexts.
Requirements
  • A master's degree in an affiliated discipline is strongly preferred.
  • Candidates will be evaluated based on years and level of experience, subject-area needs, and commitment to teaching.
Compensation

Faculty will be compensated for the design and delivery of each course session. Specific pricing and compensation agreements will be identified and agreed upon by the faculty and the UVA Northern Virginia team and may be dependent on program specifics.

Please note: This is an at-will faculty wage position which does not carry benefits. Most hires are made for part-time appointments.

Physical Demands

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs.
