Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician

Our client, a premier Trimble Heavy Civil products dealer, is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join their team in the Eastern Massachusetts or Western New York Territory. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in heavy equipment mechanics to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to a growing industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot electrical, software, and hardware faults within a machine system on job sites.
  • Order parts and complete service reports.
  • Install GPS components and wiring on a variety of heavy equipment.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by working with the sales and survey teams.
  • Use Trimble survey gear to precisely measure and calibrate machines.
  • Assist other technicians.
  • Operate heavy equipment to troubleshoot and calibrate.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two-year degree in diesel technologies or equivalent experience.
  • 3-4 years of heavy equipment mechanical experience (excluding auto or truck).
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record and ability to operate a company vehicle.
  • Proficiency in using computers, cell phones, and other technology.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with various heavy equipment such as dozers, graders, loaders, excavators, and grading equipment.
  • Knowledge of CAT, John Deere, Volvo, Bobcat, and Doosan equipment is helpful.
  • Familiarity with electrical, hydraulic, and equipment software systems.
  • Willingness to work after-hours as needed.
  • Positive attitude, adaptability, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
