Position Summary: The Security Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing daily operational functions, including employee scheduling and conflict resolution related to staffing and client concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise both full-time and part-time security staff, ensuring effective performance and adherence to protocols.
  • Conduct training and evaluations for security personnel to maintain high standards of service.
  • Manage disciplinary actions and terminations as necessary, maintaining a professional work environment.
  • Assist in the preparation of weekly work schedules for security guards, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
  • Provide staffing solutions for various functions as required by operational needs.
  • Enforce security policies and recommend improvements to building security plans and schedules.
  • Monitor and account for all security personnel hours, including sick leave and vacation, ensuring payroll accuracy.
  • Approve time-off requests and coordinate with upper management for final approvals.
  • Implement enhancements to security measures as they are developed and required.
  • Review daily reports, incident logs, and take necessary actions, reporting findings to upper management.
  • Verify and analyze monitoring reports to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Maintain essential documentation and reports for both staff and clients.
  • Provide recommendations on staffing needs, budget considerations, and procurement of resources.
  • Develop security plans for special events and assist on-duty personnel as needed.
  • Investigate incidents involving security personnel and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Engage in various facility functions, including participation in committees and task forces.
  • Support the monitoring of security officer training programs.
  • Perform additional duties as required by operational demands.

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a security-related role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer usage.
  • Ability to interact professionally with diverse personalities and maintain composure.
  • Self-motivated with a collaborative approach to teamwork.

Work Environment: This is a full-time, hourly position eligible for overtime pay. The schedule may vary based on operational needs, with expectations to meet weekly goals within standard working hours.
