Job Opportunity

AmeriHealth Caritas is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Market Chief Medical Officer to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing clinical and population health strategies to drive quality and cost-effective care for our members.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medicine, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role. You will be responsible for working closely with our plan market president and other stakeholders to advance clinical excellence and the delivery of cost-efficient care. Your expertise will be essential in developing and implementing medical policies, managing clinical programs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement clinical and population health strategies to drive quality and cost-effective care
  • Work closely with the plan market president and other stakeholders to advance clinical excellence and the delivery of cost-efficient care
  • Develop and implement medical policies, manage clinical programs, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines
  • Lead clinical, quality, and business leaders in a direct and matrixed environment
  • Experience working with multiple product lines of business, including Medicaid, Medicare, and ACA/Exchange

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board certified in area of specialty
  • Unrestricted license to practice medicine in South Carolina and any other state in which you work
  • 5+ years of practice experience in your area of medical specialty
  • 5+ years of progressive medical leadership and management experience
