Chief of Mental Health

The Department of Veteran Affairs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief of Mental Health to lead our mental health team and support the well-being of our veterans. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those who have served our country.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the mental health service line, ensuring high-quality care and treatment for our veterans.
- Collaborate with the medical staff to develop and implement policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of care, treatment, and services.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided in the mental health service line, including access, efficiency, effectiveness, and appropriateness of care and treatment.
- Recommending appointment and clinical privileges for each medical staff member of the mental health service line and others requesting privileges within mental health.
- Assess and recommend to the relevant hospital authority off-site sources for needed patient care, treatment, and services not provided by the department or the hospital.

RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must have a full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory, and be certified by an appropriate specialty board or have affirmatively established comparable competence through the credentialing process.
