Position Overview

The Safety Coordinator is tasked with ensuring adherence to OSHA guidelines and internal safety protocols. This position includes performing safety evaluations, educating staff, probing incidents, and formulating safety initiatives.

Primary Duties

  • Design and execute safety initiatives and guidelines in line with OSHA requirements.
  • Carry out routine safety evaluations and assessments to pinpoint potential hazards.
  • Examine accidents and events to uncover underlying causes and enforce corrective measures.
  • Instruct personnel on safety practices and regulations, including OSHA 5 and 10-hour training.
  • Keep precise safety documentation and reports.
  • Work in conjunction with various departments to foster a culture prioritizing safety.
  • Remain informed about industry developments and regulatory updates.

Requirements

  • Certification in OSHA 5 and 10-hour training.
  • At least 5 years of experience in safety or a related discipline.
  • Comprehensive understanding of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to operate independently as well as collaboratively.
