Shift: Day
Salary: $95K - $105K DOE
Location: West Columbia, SC
Key Responsibilities:
Safety Management:
- Prioritize safe working practices at all times.
- Adhere to all applicable safety regulations and internal policies.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions, assisting in their resolution.
- Facilitate MSHA inspections and maintain necessary certifications.
- Ensure all new personnel receive comprehensive safety training.
- Coordinate annual safety training and refresher courses.
- Lead behavior-based safety initiatives and oversee safety inspections.
- Develop and maintain safety policies in alignment with corporate goals.
- Ensure compliance documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Conduct inspections to identify and mitigate operational hazards.
- Manage random drug testing and accident reporting processes.
- Oversee employee health assessments and maintain training records.
- Monitor safety metrics and ensure accurate reporting.
Environmental Oversight:
- Implement procedures to minimize environmental impact.
- Ensure compliance with air quality management systems.
- Document and report any unplanned emissions to relevant authorities.
- Assist in environmental inspections and maintain compliance records.
- Train personnel on hazardous waste management and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to spill prevention protocols and radioactive scale compliance.
- Conduct groundwater monitoring in support of environmental assessments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in Environmental Health or Safety preferred.
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in safety management.
- Certifications in emissions monitoring, CPR/First-Aid, and hazardous waste management.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
